McEwen Mining Inc. has four producing mines, located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico and Argentina, and also has exposure to copper through its subsidiary McEwen Copper, owner of the large Los Azules copper deposit in Argentina. Our goal is to further develop into a strong and profitable gold and silver producer, focused on the Americas. In order to do that, we need great talent. McEwen Mining currently has an opening at our Fox Complex Mine Site for a: Mine Technician Reporting to the Chief of Survey and Ventilation, the Mine Technician will conduct accurate survey measurements in order to provide mining crews with direction to meet the engineered plan, and draft as-built surveys into a 3D CAD software according to set processes and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities Include: •
Record survey measurements of drifts, stopes, drill holes, and ventilation airflows. •
Establish markers for mining crews so they can carry out the plan set out by the engineering department. • Update ventilation restrictions based on the survey measurements. •
Update mine survey records. •
Conduct end of month surveys. •
Perform site inspections. •
Verify the accuracy of survey data. •
Advise Supervisor(s) of problems. •
Carry out routine reporting and administrative duties as required. •
Take part in daily / weekly staff meetings and monthly safety meetings as required.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements: •
Technician’s Diploma or College Degree from a Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering course. •
1 – 3 years of technical underground experience at an operating mine site. •
Valid driver’s licence and a reliable means of transportation.
