Water Works Maintenance Worker - Iroquois Falls

We are seeking a dynamic individual to become part of our Team as a Waterworks Maintenance Worker.
Reporting to the Waterworks Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible to perform general
labour, maintenance and repair activities on municipal infrastructure, facilities and lands including, but not
limited to, water and wastewater treatment plants, hydrants, sanitary sewers, water mains and
appurtenances. This position entails shift work (days, evenings, nights), overtime, on call rotation,
weekends, and unscheduled call-ins.
The following qualifications are requirements:
• Valid Class “G” driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Grade 12 education in Ontario or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and retain all required Water and Wastewater Certifications / Licences
• Operator in Training (O.I.T.) certifications in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater
Treatment and Wastewater Collection
The following qualifications are considered an asset:
• Functional computer skills, including the ability to use an email or web browser application.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to deal with members of the
public, co-workers, and management staff.
• Directly related work experience
• Possession of a skilled trades ticket (Millwright, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Gas
Fitter, Plumber)

A sound decision maker with the ability to work independently.
